10 ways to decorate using your vacation souvenirs

I was so sad to see halloween and christmas stuff up in the store the other day, that means Summer is almost over!! So sad!!  If this summer you, like me, suffered from PVD (post vacation depression) you know that feeling you get when you are back to reality and not in a beautiful beach in the Caribbean with out a care in the world. Here are some ideas to keep the beautiful memories from your vacations on your daily home decor and hopefully help you with the post vacation blues.

1. Make a Vacation Souvenir box: collect your favorite vacation memories in a shadow box

2. Frame local art: Use local art like this aboriginal australian art or taino art to bring happiness to your walls

3. Frame fliers, admission tickets, brochures in an artistic way

 4. Frame foreign currency

 5. Frame vacation pictures and surround them with maps from the vacation location

6. Create a vignette with your souveniers

7. Frame maps of the places you have visited

8. Make memory jars: Collect and display your souvenirs in mason jars

 9. Display your travel souvenir collection: like shot glasses

10. Use your favorite fliers and transfer them on kitchen towels
