New Years Eve Party Decorations

Happy New Year! Hope you all had a great new years eve. This year we decided to throw a last minute new years eve party. I basically planned it in 5 days, but I think it came out great. Although the guest list was short we had a great time and as always I enjoyed decorating!

for the entryway table I made this 2014 art with pic monkey and added my favorite flowers of 2013, hydrangeas!

for the mantel I reused my gold reindeers, wreath and candle holders from my christmas decor  and simply added a DIY  Happy New Years Banner.

Next I decorated the dinning room. I created curtains/backdrop by using ribbon left over from christmas decorations and tinsel I found on the day after christmas sale and I just hanged it over our blinds (btw I dislike blinds!)

then added a Happy New Year Banner,  (love the soft pink against all the gold)

for the table I used white and gold plates and placed a fortune cookie in each plate

I also created a food/drink table against the other window.  Decided to keep this background simple and used a white curtain, and simply added a cheers banner.

I loved playing and mixing the different polka dots patterns and colors. I think they look so nice together, would you agree?

I also made these art in pic monkey, added glitter to the toasting glasses and framed it in this cute gold frame from the dollar store!

after taking all these pretty pictures I decided to place the food in this table and move the drinks and desserts to the china cabinet

I made these cute hats with scrapbook paper, tinsel and glittered letters from Michaels, I really love how they turned out.

Cheers to a new year full of good health, many blessings, new projects and plenty decorating adventures! ;-)

  1. Just love your decorating style. Every detail was perfect. From the delicious looking food, especially those cupcakes, to the placement of each item. The antique pink clock was perfect for a countdown to 2014. I love way you decorated both windows. One was the glittery tinsel and the other with the subdued white. You looked beautiful in that dress and very festive. I'm sure your guests had a great time at your party. Again, these photos are worthy of a magazine spread. So glad that you're back to giving us all ideas on your blog. I always look forward to seeing them.
