One of the most interesting historic stories about this village is that at the top of the village is the Chateau de Lacoste of Marquis de Sade, currently owned by Pierre Cardin.
When not doing homework or in class, I tried to get out as much as possible and enjoy the outdoors. The Spring weather was perfect most of the time and the landscape was beautiful showcasing the blooms of the season. Strolling around the village was one of my favorite things to do, the views were just breathtaking...
Sometimes I would bring my laptop out to do some homework
flowers everywhere
Other activities in the village included, lounging in the pool
picking fresh cherries
and lounging in cozy places like this
Interior spaces were also very nice and cozy, my room felt like a cute cave
the library
the most coveted dorms in Maison Basse
the cafeteria, where we had classes on how to make crepes
this is a sample of a typical brunch. quiche, croissants (lots of carbs) and fresh cheese were the norm
Bonnieux, the neighbor town is the place to go for shopping; they have the nearest pharmacy, small grocery store, various restaurants and other small shops such as ice cream, flower and gift shops.

Glace de lavande
As part of the program I had the chance to visit: Nimes and Pont du Gard, Aix in Provence, Paris, Marseilles and Chateau La coste
We also got to canoe in the Sorgue river!
Lacoste also hosts its own sidewalk arts festival.
fresh strawberries and lavender were my favorite things to get
