This is the DIY roman shade I made for our kitchen window.
They are numerous tutorials around the web to make functional DIY roman shades, I followed two really great tutorials, one by freshly handmade and one by shanty to chic. I mostly followed the instructions over at freshly handmade, they provide great step by step pictures and details
but I decided to attach the dowels and lined it the way shanty to chic did.
I am happy with the final result and I love the feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment I get when people come over to the house and I can say yeah I made this Roman Shades myself! ;-)
