Eco-Friendly Decorating Ideas: Green Ardelle

while searching for birthday eco-friendly decorating ideas I stumble upon Green Ardelle's blog and fell in love with her ideas, style and great eye for thrifting.  When I saw the birthday party she organized for her son Jude, I knew I had to include it in the 31 days of eco-friendly decorating ideas series.
This birthday party is the perfect example of how you can incorporate eco-friendly ideas in every aspect of your event's decor and save money on the process.

Ardelle used an old book she had bought at a thrift store to make this cute happy Birthday sign

she made this lovely banner completely out of thrifted material

these fun party hats were made out of grocery paper bags

over the cake table Ardelle hanged garlands made out of thrifted books

she even made a tiny paper banner for the cake!

she also ditched the disposable cups and used mason jars to serve the drinks

I just love how creative and eco-friendly this party was. Don't you love the vintage and handmade feel of it?
All images are Ardelle's and you can see her complete post over at her blog, she also shared recipe for  chocolate mint crinkle cookies, yum!

  1. You're too kind. Cute blog! I'll have to check it out more while I have so much free time on my hands while nursing this new baby :)
