Like I mentioned in my
last post , I added more red to our christmas decor this year. (see last year decorations
here) I really like the pops of red here and there. I was really debating decorating this year but I couldn't help myself, I mean the holiday spirit got me! and Im happy I did! I love the holidays and the decor really sets the mood for happy memories!
Come on in, I'll give you a tour.
don't mind the little pine needles I forgot to sweep before I took these pictures ;-) (man! our yard is a pine needle farm!) But do check out the garlands and wreaths my dear husband helped me hanged along with the mini trees, poinsettias and wooden penguin that greets you at the door.
For the entryway I added garland and bow over the mirror, changed the decorative accessories on the entry table for seasonal items along with the frames in the opposite wall as well as the cushions in our entryway bench.
Our Christmas tree is the centerpiece of our living room. This year I restyled the built-in shelves to include seasonal items. The mantel looks pretty much like last year, except that I added more stocking holders and the small trees.
I also added red bows to my beige decorative pillows to add the festive feel.
For the dinning room I added a garland over the main window and added a banner that spells be merry, I made this banner for the holidays pictures I took of a friend and her family, so i figured i would reuse it in my home.
I set up the table with festive colors as and created a vignette for the centerpieces. I also added a few christmas cards and holiday items in the china cabinet.
Hope you enjoyed the tour and that you have a happy holiday!
xo, Yari
