Vintage Cars in a Pottery Barn Garden Themed Baby Shower

last month me and my friend Chaeli hosted a baby shower for our friend, Ann. I was in charge of the decor and for the theme I decided to go with vintage cars in a garden. I know, not your typical baby shower theme but  that was exactly the idea. ^_^  I wanted to do something that felt personal, nothing too baby oriented but that would still capture the baby shower vibe. I also wanted to incorporate the theme Ann was using to decorate the nursery and her personallity. Ann loves gardening and daisies are one of her favorite flowers. For her nursery Ann is using the vintage racing cars from pottery barn pictured below.

Ann also loves to shop at pottery barn so I drew inspiration form their website to try to add a pottery barn feel to the shower, I figured I couldn't go wrong doing that and She would love it!

as the guest arrived they were greeted and received by the sign in table were they wrote an advice for the Mom-to-be

the drink table was strategically place at the entrance to welcome the guests with drinks 

then we had the buffet table in the back

and my favorite, the dessert table! We used a small china cabinet to display the desserts. We served brownies, cupcakes, chocolate chip cookies, guava pastries and fruit kebobs

we created a gift opening area where we gathered to open presents and play some baby catch phrase 

for the favors we filled small jars with baby powder bath crystals

we all had a great time and the Mom to be received lots of love and presents

I just can't wait to plan the next soiree!
